My guess is that it will be located off the east side of Town Square, replacing the current backstage parking lot. There's a chance they might replace the building with Tony's and the Mickey meet & greet, but they're both popular enough that I think they'll remain

This will obviously be a nice addition to the park, and give them a facility that's unlike anything they've had before. I can't help but wonder if this will render some of that recent work in the hub obsolete, since that space had been the park's primary entertainment venue. This will allow them to do much more professional productions (and hopefully will be big enough to accommodate MK's large crowds), but makes me wonder what the future of the castle stage may be. It would be odd if after years of congestion, they built the new hub, only to remove most of the stage shows, castle-centric nighttime shows, and parades that brought the most congestion to that area

I love concept art! They make it look as if guests actually have room to roam.

Given that this will be dumping thousands of guests when the show ends, it will need a decent amount of space to absorb and disperse them. There are rumors that they might connect Center Street through to the current bypass path that will be the main access for the theater, which would be neat. It could have a similar effect as the new Harambe Market in DAK that really helped give the area depth and feel more like a city than a single street. I'm still disappointed that they closed the west side off around 2000, to turn into more shopping space, but a through connection could really counteract that

I hope they do a little more to integrate the theater into its surroundings though. The concept art looks like it's just plopped into a parking lot. It's nothing a little landscaping or detailing couldn't fix, but it's a little jarring now

To me, it looks like a replacement for the building on the right side as you walk in.

The one right across Town Square from City Hall. Used to show 'The Walt Disney Story'

    Oh, is that all? ;-)

EDIT to add: Oh, sure, LP board interface. You'll turn the most random things into emoji, but not ;-) .

Do you think they may be eliminating those castle forecourt shows in favor of a theatre that could house all-weather entertainment? Any idea when it will be completed? I'd love to see a production of Aladdin in there.

For better or for worse, I really can't see them entirely eliminating the schmaltzy character shows in front of the castle. They may cut down on the number or scale of them, or maybe finally ditch the Move It Shake It parade-thing (please, oh please!), but I have a hard time envisioning the park without any character shows on that stage. It would be great if they used this as an opportunity to restore some of Main Street's original atmosphere, rather than letting it be a corridor for endless character shows

If I had to bet, I would say that this new theater will have productions more similar to Aladdin at DCA or even Finding Nemo at DAK, with live vocals and intricate choreography by high-caliber performers. I would expect the castle stage shows to keep their same basic format, with lots of characters and dancing and pizzazz, but not a Broadway-level performance
