That's a good overview of what's coming, but other than identifying which areas of the village section are "restaurant" or "merchandise" (which we knew were coming, just not the specific storefronts), I'm not sure there's a lot of information. As someone who has experience in the design/construction world, I always think it's entertaining what people focus on when they see a set of "blueprints", compared to how things will likely turn out in reality

I also think it's interesting that he specified that you can order a soft drink at the cantina. There have been lots of rumors that this will be the first place in DL to serve alcohol, so that comment seemed to be specifically planted to dispel those rumors (though nothing mentioned precluded alcohol from also being sold)

Hmm. The layout of the MF ride suggests a rethemed version of M:S. Not sure what to make of the one code-named "Alcatraz."

And I find myself thinking back to the days of one of the few Las Vegas attractions I could grok: the "Star Trek Hilton," with a motion simulator ride, a 4D movie with mechanical effects similar to ITTBAB, and Quark's Place (where I could greet a wandering Klingon in Klingonaase*, and was sorely tempted to order a plate of gagh**). Sadly, that all went to YesterVegas a few years ago.

    * The closest equivalent to "Hello" is "NuqneH," literally "What do you want?"
** Serpent worms, served as food. Gagh is said to be best when served live.

Although the layout is similar, it sounds like the experience will be very different. Instead of a high-intensity centrifuge, this should be more like a traditional simulator (think Star Tours with only 6 passengers per vehicle) mounted on a turntable like the Carousel of Progress or original Journey into Imagination. That way, they'll be able to make the queue (and exit) look like it leads to the one-and-only cockpit of the Millennium Falcon; once you're loaded and your journey begins, the whole thing will rotate slowly and the next cockpit will come into place. When you're on the ride, you aren't supposed to be able to feel any of the effects of the rotation

Personally, it seems like an overly complicated solution to a minor problem, but it's what they're going with. I'm only a Star Wars fan in passing, so I've never had any great desire to fly the MF myself, but I struggle to see how it could be so enticing to require such an overly complex solution to a relatively simple problem. That said, it sounds like it should be a fun experience, even if I'm not sold on having a "reputation" follow me around the land
