    I'm also not a fan of this. While the hotel needed a remodel (like most of the DLP hotels, since they're reaching a certain age), I'm not sure this is the best approach to take. It will be interesting to see how it turns out.

    I'm also curious to see how extensive the changes are. The original hotel was designed by famed postmodern architect Michael Graves (who also did the Swan and Dolphin in WDW), and is a great example of his work and the era; I understand that Disney can do whatever they want with it (especially since it's not old enough to be on any sort of protected 'historic' list), but I can't help wondering if they feel any obligation to maintain his original vision for the hotel. It's a fairly unique situation, since most of Disney's hotels were designed (mostly) internally and are nice but have no real architectural significance; this one often appears as a textbook example of postmodern architecture

    The more I think about this the more I wish they were going whole hog on the Marvel theming.

    This might end up confused and neither one thing nor the other.

    I agree that the modern look is very appealing. Fingers crossed that it will actually look like that upon completion. ;)
