Disney has created a new division that seems to focus on streaming-type services, and reorganized its existing divisions.
Disney announces strategic reorganization, effective immediately

In essence, we're left with a couple different content creation divisions (Studio Entertainment), distribution divisions (Media Networks), and the parks.

The most interesting part of this to me is lumping Consumer Products and Interactive in with Parks & Resorts. I know that those two are really small divisions, largely dealing with vendors and 3rd parties, so they could be grouped in with anything, but it just seems kind of random to me. It's clear the Bobs see the parks only as a means for pushing branded products, but operationally they're very different from the other divisions

Thinking about this more, it's really strange that they didn't announce it last week at the annual Shareholders Meeting. That's the obvious time to discuss business strategy and plans for the Company, so why did they wait a week to do it? Clearly they knew the change was coming, right?

I don't get this reorganization. I can only conclude that Disney wants to hide some bad financial numbers.
