LP has a great article on the new expansion:

Tokyo DisneySea expansion will include Frozen, Tangled, and Peter Pan.

Tokyo DisneySea Expansion Announced, New Port of Call Coming in 2022 - LaughingPlace.com

I think it sounds interesting. I look forward to seeing more information.

The hotel is listed as being inside the park, which means it will have it own entrance to Tokyo DisneySea. From it's placement, if the drawing are correct it, will also be at the back end of Tokyo Disneyland, fantasy land. Wouldn't it be grand to also have an entrance to Tokyo Disneyland as well.

While most of the artwork looks really nice, I can't say I'm particularly looking forward to this expansion. All of TDS's other ports have a unifying concept of a waterside destination/era that's distinct and compelling. These films really don't have anything in common and it just feels like Fantasyland 2.0. As overrated as I think Frozen is, a Scandinavian port fits the park so much better than this

I'll be curious to see how the attractions turn out. Looking at the concept art I'm inclined to think they're going to be E-tickets, but the descriptions sound more like typical Fantasyland C-tickets. TDS's current roster doesn't have much in the B/C/D range, so that could help fill things out. I hope that the musical Frozen boat ride isn't a copy of the Epcot attraction, since it pacing, capacity, and layout issues related to being a redo of an existing attraction

I also wonder how much longer the Peter Pan attraction in TDL will last, and what its replacement might be. It's an opening day attraction (that was essentially a copy of MK's opening day attraction) that hasn't received any substantial upgrades, so it could be ripe for redevelopment. Traditionally, each park has its own characters that "live" there (Aladdin and Ariel in TDS; Snow White and Peter Pan at TDL) so it would be pretty unusual to have a permanent crossover like this

The artwork for the hotel is...hideous. I'm not sure what aesthetic they're going for (late-19th century travelling carnival?) but it just doesn't look good to me. At 400-some rooms, hopefully it will be small enough to be easily hidden from most of the park. Logistically I don't think it will connect to both parks, since that would limit their backstage access routes

Here's a link to the original press release, which includes some additional information and images:

It does sound better than I had originally thought, but I still don't think the approach is the best fit for the park overall. The attractions all sound like they're larger scale than my initial impression (except the Pixie Hollow one, which will likely be a standard spinner), so I'm hopeful that the additions will be of a scale that fits the park well

For those who did not read the PDF.

Frozen area will have A new boat attraction will tell the story of Anna and Elsa as well as include classic songs. This sounds a lot like a version of the attraction at EPCOT.

Tangled area will have another boat ride where they will cover the movie on Rapunzel’s “best day ever” It is hard to judge the size and scale of this attraction. Will it be something like pirates or peter pan dark rides?

Neverland area will have a flying attractions. Rumors from another site seems to indicate that this will use the Pandora: flight of passage attractions tech. Which from all reports clam that it is amazing technology and attractions.

Just based on these descriptions it is sound like these are some E-ticket attractions. Both of the boat rides should have a high volume, high rider count.

This three zone area is going to be the Fantasyland of Disney Seas. I am not sure how well that will fit into the rest of the park never being there myself. It will be interesting to see how this goes as the attraction progresses.
