Was it a new commercial? I saw one a week ago, but it's the same thing that we have been seeing online for the past month or so.
Any idea if they are still going to do the ride where you get to take a nap inside a freshly carved Taun-Taun?
I think it was the same spot we've seen on-line for a while now. Wasn't really paying too much attention though.
Hey everybody, I thought the LP boards were just flat-out gone. Who knew there would be something like "old.laughingplace.com?" Not me till today! Looks like they're not real busy... but still, how nice to see they still exist and to see some of the old familiar names! Hello again, all.
Thanks. It's impossible to find from the homepage (well, not impossible, but certainly not intuitive - there used to be a direct link from the homepage!) so I thought they were gone for good. I found it via a google fluke. I've recently been checking out the Miceage discussion boards and flirting with the idea of joining them. But I find them kinda unfriendly. There are a handful of former LP stalwarts like JimfromMerced and a couple of others, but they don't post often. The boards are dominated by a handful of pretty humorless prigs posting the same things over and over and over. Hey, LP mods - if you're reading this, please post a direct link to the boards from the homepage! And maybe even write a short article that appears on the front page for a week or so, explaining that they're still around. Seriously - I still came to LP to read the other articles, but had NO idea the boards were still here. If I thought they had simply been discontinued, a lot of other LP'ers may be thinking the same.
Please stick around and post and share Dabob. It's time for a revitalization around here. Get the band back together....make this place be the change you wish to you see.
I left LP for a few years and then came back (I was originally, Walter Elias). Then, they changed the homepage and, for awhile, I thought they were planning on dumping the boards altogether because the link was so well hidden. It's nice to see you back.
Get the band back together? Think we could? Maybe if there are a few people each that we have actual email addresses on, we can invite them back... or at least tell them the boards still exist? I bet a lot of people are like me and thought they disappeared. Anyway, so... Galaxy's Edge, huh? The pictures I've seen look great. Shame that ROTR (OMG! I did a new DL acronym for the first time in forever!!) won't be ready in May/June. Anyone heard anything recently about what the delay is about? Or when it might open?
Yes, bro. Get the band back together. I don't have anyone's email, no one would share their personal info with a little wacky croc. We need those damn witches back! I don't know much about Galaxy's Edge, but I'll be at DL in mid may---maybe some soft opening I can sneak into....
The buzz is just that ROTR is the most complicated thing anyone as ever built for an amusement park. The heart of the problems are with the trackless system missing or being off course a bit. Personally I think that the side effect of all this is going to be great in that it will spread out those people who want to come to the park. Many will wait until later in the year when both attractions are open. That with the reservation system in place it will not not the dooms day everyone has been predicting.
I will gladly be reselling them like a total jerk to whatever any star wars sucker will pay me for them. I wonder how many I can fit in a backpack? Sinisterly, Crazycroc
I have to admit that I will be one of the suckers that buys an overpriced Coke product when we eventually make our way there to see everything.
I admit it, I love these Coca-Cola bottles. They look fantastic and honestly I'm really surprised Disney and Coke are going that extra mile.
I think the coke bottles LOOK great, but they also look like they won't hold very much coke. I can't imagine they're 20 ounces (like the other ODV bottles).
The Coke bottles are neat, but they look like they hold about 8 oz.. They look similar to those "AquaBall" things (ball shaped bottles of water with Disney characters on them) that I've seen at the grocery store.
