So, I go to Disney, I like to eat me some food. I go outside the parks to eat more than inside, cuz, you know, not a big fan of the prices. Have to take my special folks to Goofy's kitchen once for breakfast. We enjoy "Lee's Sandwiches" quite a bit a few times a trip. Like some Knott's chicken, although last time the Plaza Inn Chicken was better. I've got Wilford Brimley's "Diabeetus Milettus" so I have to be carb careful....what's some good places to eat either in Anaheim or surrounding area. Keep in mind the croc will have two adults with developmental disabilities with him, so nothing that will require an insane wait. Also, could everyone on the board please send me a gift card for food. Thanks in advance. I don't want to come back and have to go on Deal-A-Meal either. Thanks for the advice. If you guys like pizza I've heard that Pizza Press (it's the one that was originally attached to the Carousel Inn before it closed) is pretty darn good. I believe they relocated over by the Anaheim Hotel, which is run by the people that managed the Anabella before it closed. Not the most carb friendly meal, but they do have gluten free crust available.
It's been a while since I've been to Mimi's, but last time I was there the food was still good, and their menu is pretty extensive. Egg dishes for breakfast are low carb, and they have many salad types as I remember for lunch and dinner. (Plus other "moderate carb" choices). I'm sure you can find a menu online. The wait can be lengthy at peak times, but if you choose "off hours" to eat, that might work fine too. Tortilla Joe's in DTD is not too expensive and has a pretty extensive menu too.
Ditto what @Dabob2 says about Tortilla Joe's. We like going there for the nachos...it's big enough for 2-3 people.
There's an Anaheim location of the "Fire+Ice" chain, at Katella and Clementine. Think all-you-can-eat "Mongolian Barbecue" on steroids: a huge raw-bar and a rather large sauce-bar, feeding a huge flattop worked by 2 or more grillmasters. I haven't been to the Anaheim location, but whenever I'm in Boston, I try to make it to the one about a block east of Copley Square (St. James and Berkeley).
All these suggestions sound great! Fire and Ice sounds good, pizza press sounds good. Mimi's is good but out of budget unless you guys send those gift cards I requested. I'm in New Mexico, so I try not to eat "California" Mexican when I'm out there, I miss my green chile... Would you guys like for me to host a laughingplace meet when I'm there? BFF's, Crazycroc
