The tarp is coming down from in front of the castle.

There's a new color scheme, similar to but different from any previous one, I believe. It takes elements from previous schemes and mixes them in new way:

Some of the pink is more muted, other (lower down) is maybe stronger than before. The blue on the roofs is definitely more saturated, and there are sort of sparkly things in the center roof section. And though you can't see it all yet, the lower "stone" section is different color-wise as well.

    Discuss!

I have my own opinion, but don't want to influence anyone else's... whatcha' think?

Seems very bright! But that might make it last longer as the sun fades it. I have to see it in person to really judge.

Always a welcoming sight. I'm sure it will be magnificent.

I don't particularly like it. It's looks like what people imagine a fairy tale castle to look like (a pretty pink playset), rather than a real building. The contrast between the various elements is too strong; it just doesn't look anything like how actual masonry construction would be done. The high-gloss paint also doesn't help dispel the appearance of plastic. The sparkles on the roof are super tacky; they didn't work with the wand on Spaceship Earth, and they don't work here. Instead of looking timeless and classy, it just looks kind of cheap to me.

I also don't think the change from dark to light pink works particularly well. I understand the concept they're going for (it works great in Carsland and Pandora; from what we've seen of Galaxy's Edge it works well there too), but it needs to be a gradual transition rather than blocks of progressively lighter colors.

On the bright side, it's nothing that a fresh coat of paint can't fix. Unfortunately, each new paint job it's gotten has been progressively more pink and less realistic than the one before it, so I doubt it will change any time soon.

Actually, the turrets (especially the tallest one) seem if anything somewhat LESS pink than some recent incarnations. Not compared to the original, of course, but some of the 90's and 2000's versions were very pink indeed. I prefer less pink, so this was actually an improvement for me.

I'm also fine with the saturated blue roofs - a net plus.

On the other hand, I don't like the sparkles. Haven't seen them in person, but in photos anyway... not a fan.

I also don't like the VERY pink color on the lower stories. I don't think it's any pinker than they've done before (colors always fade in the CA sun, and I'm basing that statement on the idea that this will too), but I don't like that deep pink. And with the somewhat more subdued pink on the upper stores and turrets, it is more of an abrupt change, as FerretAfros said.

The changed color scheme of the lower stones I'm neutral about. They don't bother me, but I also don't see them as an improvement. Perhaps they'll grow on me.

So overall, a mixed bag to my eyes. A couple of positives, a couple of negatives, and some neutral. I will say I like it better than the 60th version, which never quite worked for me (whereas the 50th version did).
