Big brewhaha over at miceage and wdwmagic about how Disney influenced Al Lutz and how TP2000 is really a ghostwriter for Lutz and other startling information. Good stuff about what happen here in the old days.
Hmm. I never really gave a rodent's defecatory orifice about the writings of Al Lutz. Mainly because he was, at least the last time I'd heard of him, such a harsh critic. And yet, as to his reputation as a harsh critic, I do occasionally find myself noting how The Walt Disney Company seems, starting a year or two before I dropped my pass, to frequently make decisions that I find incredibly stupid, short-sighted, tasteless, or more than one of the above. It seems like, for everything they do to give me a reason to reinstate my pass (e.g., Galaxy's Edge, bringing back the MSEP, doing away with the "Sounds Dangerous" version of Lincoln), they manage to do two or more things to give me a reason not to reinstate it (e.g., "Pain in the Night," not moving Star Tours to Galaxy's Edge, not going back to the Don Dorsey MSEP soundtrack, not bringing back the Blue Fairy or the circus unit in the MSEP, doing away with CircleVision, that the "Sounds Dangerous" version of Lincoln lasted as long as it did, &c.)
