Do you think that they will reopen as soon as June? Disneyland will go my the state guidelines but how are they going to handle the AP crowds that are sure to show up?
I believe they are going to have to limit ticket sales/AP holders in order for opening to occur. They are going to hit max capacity quickly.
Then again, that in itself might very well stave off a rush. At least among passholders. At least the sort of passholders I was (i.e., those who realize how good a deal they're getting, and that they can come back any time, and don't act, ahem, like they'd been spending too much time on Pleasure Island [the one from Pinocchio, not the one that used to be at WDW]).
Yes, I suppose it could help to keep people from rushing to get the last out of their passes. (Yes, I got the Pleasure Island reference right off.)LOL
I'd be very surprised if masks aren't required for *all* guests. The evidence continues to grow that if everyone wears a mask, the transmission rate of COVID-19 plummets to around 1%. People will still get sick, there's no avoiding that. But so long as hospitals aren't overwhelmed and we can care for people who do get sick, even a busy place like Disneyland might be able to reopen, with a lot of hand sanitizer and face masks.
And it may not be too much longer before masks meeting N95 standards become as common and cheap as cowpats. After all, we seem to have finally reached the end of the toilet paper crisis, as well as the shortages of paper towels, napkins, Spam, instant scalloped potatoes, and Rice-a-Roni. Although personally, I'm a bit more concerned with the Hollywood Bowl season. Since I let my pass expire, DL has usually been too damn expensive to visit more than once a year (excepting the MSEP promotional multi-day passes from a couple years ago), and it has always seemed like every time DL does something to make me want to reinstate my pass, then then promptly do something to make me think better of it.
. . . And it would seem that my concern over the Hollywood Bowl season was well-founded. Word just came through: the season has been canceled.
