In just 3 days. Just Rod and me for 3 days. We haven't been there, just the two of us, for years. Not even sure of the last time. Our Costco tickets came with LightningLane as well as $30 food vouchers. Hope the rain stays at a minimum.
You seem to be enjoying yourselves. Haven't been there myself in (probably) over a year. Too expensive. Too troublesome, with reservations. "Pain in the Night" instead of The Parade. Too much discrimination against non-smartphone-users. Too many of my favorite attractions gone for good. I think the last time I was there was before they opened the West Coast version of Runaway Railway. I was at the Disney Family Museum, this past Spring, while vacationing in San Francisco. And last night, I was at Disney Hall last night, for an evening of chamber music by (mostly) LAPhil full-time musicians. A program of Jessie Montgomery, Brahms, and York Bowen.
All of the above. We did this specific trip because Costco had a great deal on a 3 day parkhopper that included LighteningLane and a $30 food gift card each. Just finishing up a pretty good Asian chicken, vegetable and pasta dish. And free refills on hot cocoa! Heading to Mickey and Minnie Runaway Railway right now. We came for the Christmas decorations and fireworks. Haven't been at Holiday time in years. Haven't been just the two of us in even longer. We are most definitely enjoying ourselves.
I love the Disney Family Museum though it's been a long time since we were there. It was actually an LP meet.
Since the weather forecast when we left predicted rain our entire trip; we feel lucky it waited until our last evening. We actually "walked on" Rise of the Resistance. It had obviously been down awhile and people were rushing there as we showed up. They seemed to be rushing us through in anticipation of the line that was building. We actually skipped the first step after our capture.
Never bothered with RotR myself. My idea of an "immersive experience" is to book a Colonial House accommodation for the last night of a visit to Colonial Williamsburg. Truth be told, my two favorite things in Galaxy's Edge are (1) Smuggler's Run (my station of choice is "engineer"), and (2) the landscaping.
Well, well, well! Here we are again. Thanks for giving me a heads up. It was so frustrating to see that "error" message over and over again. I flew to Disneyland last Tuesday in the wee hours of the morning. My friend Hallie had paid for the flight and 2 nights at the Disneyland Hotel. Our friend Nancy joined us as well. We have all known each other since 7th grade. We had a pretty good time all things considered. It was 84° the first day but felt much warmer. It cooled down a little each day. Nancy paid for all of us to do the World of Color dessert party. I was very disappointed because when our whole family was there in February the show was phenomenal. This one was supposed to be based on celebrating Happiness. But it was all characters from Inside Out, which I've never been very fond of. I felt it was very haphazard for a 70th Anniversary show. The dessert box was pretty good though. I was less than impressed with the Disneyland Hotel. It was actually a pretty long walk to the main gate. My daughters' hotel on Harbor was closer. To top things off; they had the water shut off from 11PM to 5AM on the last night. To compensate, we were gifted 2 bottles of Disani Water. For 3 people! She did it mostly for early entry which is now only half an hour. Pretty much useless. It did feel weird to be in The Parks and be anxious to get home. We love our mountain!
Hallie is not pushing me in a wheelchair. She's just leaning. We had a great waitress/server. Hallie had surgery 3 weeks ago and was afraid Mater would jerk her around too much. We squoze her into the middle so she couldn't slide. We were laughing so hard everybody was looking at us. We just barely fit.
