Whoever chose the current green, purple and red designs of those sign outta be put out to pasture. Those are the worst colors to place under the FL Sun since they tend to fade so quickly.

I also have to comment that on this day and age, I think WDW should go electronic and bilingual, with some other languages displayed for those big demographics that visit WDW..like the japanese, brazilians... I mean, if other Disney parks can be bilingual in signage, why can't WDW?

Or those in English because they know how much of a pain Americans are if we don't find a sign we can read, no matter where we are. So do you put signs up for every language and/or dialect on the planet? If not, which ones do you choose? I think that if WDW were to provide signs for every language that thinks they should have it all you would see are signs and then the only thing they would have to maintain are the signs, nothing else would be visible. I just think it is thinking global in the sense that it is better to have just one language signs then make others angry because they think they were specifically left out.

The funny thing is that they finally do this a few months before the studios changes names. So what are we gonna end up with a black sticker over MGM for a few years before they get around to changing the sign again?

The park is still Disney/MGM Studios. I believe the name change comes in January of '08. And Epcot is still Epcot - I haven't heard any indication that this is going to change. So the new signs are correct as of now, for the next 3 months anyway.

If any. >>Others may have multi-language signs but I would be willing to bet that it only has those that are most likely to attend.<< Yes, you are correct. But my point was... Disney could deliver signs in english, spanish (which I find unnecesary since most spanish speaking people do know english as well), portuguese and japanese... VIA electronic signage. It would be quite practical and CHEAP to do and them signs last longer...when properly maintained. >>I just think it is thinking global in the sense that it is better to have just one language signs then make others angry because they think they were specifically left out.<< Sorry but I disagree. DLP offers multiple language signs and PAs. TDR offers both english and japanese on their signs. HKDL offers Cantonese and English signs... and so on. Furthermore, I am yet to witness one single WDW CM go out of his/her way to satisfy a japanese guest the way they go out of their way to help me at TDR. Like I said before... spanish signs are not necesary but a common courtesy at WDW... and I think they should extend the same courtesy to other, more visible tourist groups who are coming to WDW practically most times of the year, like the brazilians and the japanese. >>So do you put signs up for every language and/or dialect on the planet? If not, which ones do you choose?<< Again.. I think it's fine to have english and spanish on hard signs, but Disney misses an opportunity to offer other options by not installing programmable electronic signs, like those at TDR and HKDL for example.
