You can play the purchased tracks on your PC (or Mac) via the iTunes software and they can also be burned to an audio CD, which will play in pretty much any CD player. If you want to move the tracks to a portable player other than an iPod, you can burn them to CD and then re-rip them in whatever format is required by your player. That does result in a bit of a loss of audio quality (you are re-compressing tracks that were already compressed), but probably not enough for most people to notice. -Jeff
