    Just heard from a friend that Wayne Allwine, the voice of Mickey Mouse, passed away yesterday at the age of 62 from complications of diabetes.

    Not much in the news yet but Wikipdeia has updated their listing with the information of his passing.

    What joy Wayne and his wife Russi, the voice of Minnie Mouse, have brought to children of all ages.

Jenniebarra and I were moved at how much he and Russi loved each other. This is a loss for everyone who ever knew them but I am sure nothing compared to your and your families loss.

    I expect that, when the obits finally start appearing, it's going to be widely reported. Even if someone is not a Disney fan, they know that Mickey Mouse is an iconic character in this country.

    He will be missed terribly...
