My kids are pretty good at warp speed so I am not worried about that, just the crowds and wait times. I utilize FP as much as possible so that helps too. There are some that we can skip like tea cups, railroad, some of the FL rides. I am also debating on wheter to rent a wheelchair as I am in a walking cast so that will slow us down too (not that a wheel chair won't but it would be a little faster.) I can walk fine and being on it for a long day is ok too because I can sit on the rides and rest.

I have done both parks in one day - not sure how many of the NAMM people have headed home - but I thought NAMM ended today - or yesterday. If you plan things out well you should be fine - I would start in DCA since there is less you want to do there, and finish the day in DL - there isn't a parade or fireworks to catch so it should be doable.

If I were you, I would just talk with the entire group ahead of time (you may have already done this) and find out which two or three things are absolute highest priority for them. Then you can lay out a plan of attack that includes everyone's favorites. You'll still miss out on some stuff, but hey, one day in Disneyland is still way better than not going at all!

Thanks for the advise, it is greatly appreciated since I haven't been in 5 years.

She has knee and hip problems so may use it for her or get another one. Any advise on how it works with wheel chairs? Do we have to wait in line? do the chairs fit in the queues? will someone help us with directions?
Originally Posted By ABBY I think for most of the rides with a wheel chair you go in through the exit. I'm sure the cm's at the entrances will give you specific directions. DH and I have done both parks in one day several times. We are theme park commandos when we go for only one day. Try to get to the park at opening. We find that is the best time to get lots done without much of a wait. This an example of how we handle the one day visit: We get to DL before or at opening, hit Nemo first then fast pass for space. We then move to Adventureland, NOS and Critter Country and do the attractions there, collecting fast passes as they are available. We usually hit only one or two FL attractions. As DL starts to get more crowded we move to DCA. We get a FP for Soarin and head off to the other attractions, again collecting FP's as they are available. We have always had to wait about 45 minutes for TSMM, but in my opinion it is worth it. We can usually get all the major attractions plus Bugs Life and once even the Aladin show in before DCA is even closed. After we finish up at DCA we head back to DL to finish out the day, doing whatever we missed in the morning and do-overs for our favorites. HAVE FUN!!

Since you are not getting there until about 10 - I would do DCA first. With fast passes you should be able to be through DCA by noon. I would enter DCA, head down to TSMM - while getting in line for that FP Screamin - once you get off TSMM your FP should be good for Screamin - ride screamin - head to TOT - if you want to ride Soarin - FP that on the way to TOT. After those head on over to DL - Start with a FP for Space - then grab something to eat and head over to N.O. area for pirates, BTMRR and such - collect FP as you can. I would watch Nemo for a short line or wait until near the end of the night. Just my two cents.
