    I opened mine and used it. I can't imagine a fleece blanket will appreciate in value too much. To me it makes a much nicer holiday decor item than a collectible in a bag. It helped keep me warm, and it looked nice and festive with my other Christmas decorations. I say, do what you want with it and don't worry about it being worth anything.
