Last year we had been at DL on St. Patrick's day and my MIL and bought us green hats and antennae to wear in the park and I had "forgotten" them. She was disappointed not to have a picture of us wearing them in the park so I remembered them this year. We all felt really, really stupid wearing them while waiting in the front of the line and we were all a bit gripey- not a great start to our last day. We ditched the hats as soon as we were in the gates! When the gates opened, Nathan and I were first on Peter Pan and the other boys made it first ride/first car on BTMRR- they felt complete. They were able to ride 3 times in a row. Nathan and I rode most of FL and the others joined us. It was very chilly and looked like it was starting to drizzle and Nathan was the only one with a jacket. So David ran back to the hotel while the rest of us ate churros- poor David. We took some pictures and I looked around the Princess shop- I never get to go in there. I made the boys promise that when they got married they would keep having children until I had at least one granddaughter. I then rode Matterhorn with the big boys as David took Nathan to get Buzz FP. We then rode HM, explored Tom Sawyer's island and ate lunch at Rancho Del Zocalo. Then it started to rain-hard. We had just about accomplished everything we wanted to on our trip- we had saved a few things that were typically low crowds to do for that afternoon. Things like Mark Twain, Innoventions, Animation Academy ( we wanted to learn to draw Goofy and Donald). Unfortunately, these are also the indoor things that become crowded when it is raining. We rode Mark Twain and headed to DCA. David got TOT FP and we went to Paradise Pier which was empty. The older boys had not been on Jumpin' Jellyfish yet ( and they didn't want to miss a single ride) so they went on that. Then William worked up the courage to go on Maliboomer so I went with him on that while the others played on Rustworthy. We went by the Animation Academy to find out what time they were going to be doing Goofy and Donald but the CM said that it is up to each animator and that day's animator was just doing Mickey- bummer. Nathan was getting quite chilly, so I took him to World of Disney to buy souvenirs. He picked his out quickly and was begging to go back to the hotel for a warm bath. But I still had shopping to do! Luckily the others got there from TOT and Tucker already knew what souvenir he wanted so he took Nathan back to the hotel. We finished our shopping and headed back to the hotel. We took quite a while to get everything packed up so we could get an early start home the next day. We got back to DL and the line for Astro Orbiters was short so the older 3 boys went on it while David, Nathan and I rode Buzz. We all think that ride ( Astro Orbiters) is downright painful. We then were going to go to HISTA but the show had just started and we weren't in the mood to wait. So we went to Innoventions. The boys would spend hours here if I let them. After awhile, my sister called and she was almost in Anaheim. After much debate and discussion, we decided to keep our 8:30pm Goofy's Kitchen PS. I was worried about being rushed, but they told me you get 1 1/2 hour in the restaurant after you are seated. We rode the monorail over to DLH and met my sister and her friend. We had a great time at Goofy's kitchen. The food was great and the character interaction was terrific- the place was very uncrowded so they spent a lot of time at each table. The only thing we noticed was that as desserts emptied out, they were not replenished. So if you ever go at that time, grab your desserts early. Other than that, it was a great time to go! We rode the monorail back, did a little more shopping at the Emporium, rode Buzz- again and decided to head back to the hotel. We were pooped- and the only thing that made leaving DL bearable was knowing that they would get to see my parents on the drive home. So they wanted to get to bed earlier so that maybe we could get an earlier start in the morning. The drive home was uneventful. We encountered some snow again in Flagstaff ( nothing like on the way there). It was hard to leave DL- especially since we don't know when we are going to be able to go back. We are saving to go on a Disney Cruise Summer 2007, so that will probably prevent a trip to DL that year. It's funny, the boys drove us crazy at times with their petty bickering ( hopefully I don't have the only kids that fight at times) but once we left the park, all we can remember are the good times.

From what I've read prevously about Nathan, his stamina amazes me and so do you. Have fun planning your Disney Cruise next year.

I also remember secretly thinking that I was acting pretty grumpy also. Luckily we all got in much better moods quickly ( Nathan and I did as soon as we dumped the hats, I really don't like calling attention to myself and some teenagers had already been laughing at us on the way to the park). Tucker, my oldest, pointed out that the family that opened the park didn't make it to BTMRR to ride until he was on his second time on it, so then they were all very relieved that they had not been delayed! If you witnessed any of our less than pleasant behavior, I am very sorry.
