The CM told us to stay in our car ride again. It did close later that afternoon.

But I can understand the issues since the technology is amazing.

I know that it's had its share of problems, especially during the early years, but, it seems much more reliable now than it used to be. They must be satisfied enough with it more now since they've already used the technology in Tokyo Disney Seas (Journey to the Center of the Earth), and may soon add it to California Adventures with the proposed "Carland" attraction. Unfortunately, they tried to use the technology for the ill-designed Rocket Rods, but, that had more to do with the usage of the old Peoplemover track and the non-banked, tight turns versus a track designed specifically for a new attraction.

This term implies mechanical damage somewhere, that must be repaired. What it most often does is a computer system control conflict shutdown. The ride is so complex, multiple cars moving on the same track at different speeds, some quite fast, and safety is such a concern, that ANY information conflict on the system will shut it down. But then, resetting and getting TestTrack going again does seem to be much more quickly done these days. The ride does run in the rain -- at least light rains. When the car's outside it moves fast enough that the windshield actually works, and keeps most of the rain out of the car. But if it stops while it's outside, then the passengers are toast. If there's any lightning in the vicinity they'll shut it down too.

And who would have time to look at it?< The video screen I remember in the front center of the dash, has a scan of the car occupants and a heat sensor to show hot /cold spots on the body -- if I remember right it shows how ones body reacted to the 'stress' of the speed /banks etc. I can't remember looking at it for anything else...maybe someone can elaborate more

Or maybe I just didn't notice?
