My first birthday celebration at DL...got the birthday button, phone call from Goofy, Mickey dessert with candle at Lilo and Stich breakfast, and wonderful birthday congrats and comments from the CM's. First time to see the Flag Retreat Ceremony...soooo moving, teary eyed!! A must see when you are there. First time on the canoes (that I can remember...may have gone when very young) and what fun!!! The CM's are the best!!! And a good view of work on TSI. First time to do the Lilo and Stich breakfast...LOVED IT!! LOTS of character interaction and personal attention from them, and a chance to see the elusive Daisy Duck!! The congo line and hula lessons for the kids made me wish I had little ones with me! The CM's here were the best I have experienced at any of the character breakfasts. The menu is more limited than at some, but the food was delicious! Took in the California Dreams show in DCA...again, teary eyed (okay, I can get teary eyed walking through the gates the first day!!) First Iced Latte at the Blue Ribbon Bakery...YUM!! Had my silouette done at the Silouette Shop...with Tink...she did an excellent job, and lots of fun conversation while she was working. A great, inexpensive souvineer!! Went below deck on the Columbia...very well done!! Disappointed that they had discontinued evening sails for work on the island. Another time! Took in the Aladin show in DCA...oh my gosh!! I was blown away!! This is something for all ages!! The special effects, the music, it was incredible. First time to be on a ride when it broke down!! Tower of Terror went BUMP on the last drop and stopped. CM immediately came on over the intercom to assure us we would be off soon, that she would stay on the intercom, and that she could see us. A matter of minutes and we were off...after they manually moved us to the door...and another elevator was waiting for us to board immediately for another trip...and YES, of course we went again!! First time on Haunted Mansion with the new effects (have been there with the Christmas Overlay the last two trips)...like the new bride and the attic scene much better! But, also discovered that I rather missed Jack!! Buzz..FINALLY able to connect with target in the center of his chest for BIG points!! And also finally able to hit the targets in the tunnel! Mary Poppins and Bert show in front of the castle. PhotoPass...a great idea...fun to come home and look at the pictures leisurely! And some old favorites... Dole Whips!!! Can never have too many when there! Mickey Ice Cream Bar, frozen banana, Lunch at the Blue Bayou and a Monte Cristo, Breakfast with Minnie and Firends at the Plaza Inn...I LOVE Captain Hook!!! Screamin', TOT, Pirates (NEVER get tired of this!), Space, Star Tours, Buzz, Peter Pan, Alice, Mr. Toad, Snow White, Pinocchio, Monorail (so happy to have water and a beautiful lagoon again), DLRR, Canoes, HM, IASW, Indy, Jungle Cruise, and...on and on... Stopped at the Outlet Store and picked up a couple of Christmas ornaments for a VERY low price compared to what I had been seeing online! Trying to accumulate enough for an all "Disney" tree. Counting the days until my November trip!!

I'm sure we might have even been in some of the same lines and stuff. There are a couple pics in my trip report...maybe you saw my big ol' family walkin around with Dole Whips!
