Previously, I thought Disneyland was the best. I can't say that anymore. Disneyland's presentation in the park is also rather disappointing in some way. You have to appreciate the slow drawn out show that featured the classic attractions. What do you think?

While Disney has made some significant improvements in the technology of their fireworks, their current intent on focusing their show on the Main Street area has reduced the enjoyment level in other areas where they were previously viewed. There was a time when you could enjoy the fireworks from many locations in the park and also in many locations outside the park. Now, you can only get a good view from Main Street, which actually even makes the experience there less enjoyable since that location gets extremely crowded with everyone wanting that viewpoint.

You can't enjoy them just as well from any other location - Like we use to with older shows. I love this particular show .... but dealing with the massive crowds around the hub can be overwhelming, and cut into the enjoyment.

That is why I don't really like the shows they put on for many 4th of July events where they think just putting in as many big explosions makes it better. Not true at all imo. I usually find firework shows to be kind of boring, seen one seen them all, I sometimes find myself hoping that that was the last one (firework) or thinking about how quick I can get out as to beat the traffic...Maybe that is just my adult ADD kicking in. That said I thought the Disneyland show was very well done. I really enjoyed it and it was very magical. Or maybe that was because the rest of my family was riding space so I actually had my thoughts to myself?

Many of the new fireworks are lower level and shot from locations that have a more direct effect on locations in the park that are guest accessible. You are probably right that the older higher altitude fireworks wouldn’t be cancelled as much, most likely because they were fired backstage where the “fallout†was more controlled. Lower wind velocities wouldn't affect them as much.

As we passed underneath the biggest shells, the car literally was pounded with the very satisfying "boom boom"s, to the objection of only our little dog who would ordinarily be very quiet as she rides in the back seat. Driving the I-5 at 75 mph is a totally fun, fresh and different way to experience the Disneyland fireworks, even though you only get a small portion of the show. I don't have a complaint about Disneyland's fireworks aerials.
