But their ticket options (no 1 day hopper) - no delayed expiration are lousy. Buying your way to a FP is also lousy imho- but fits right in with the class warfare that seems to be the card to play politically these days to try and discredit the opposition.. etc. for the record the times I went I mostly enjoyed Uni - however memories also filled with 2 hr + waits for some attractions at that time...which took the edge off the best rides then-- and one major E ticket type attraction- Kongfrontation - which was one of my fave rides outside Disney - that they couldn't keep running. Everyones playground is littered with successes and failures Nowhere is perfect- and WDW is not close either..I just don't subscribe in going over the top to make a negative point sometimes ( although I was guilty with Poo Playground which I just hated ) - I understand everyone has different buttons that get pushed...I just hope that everyone realizes what we do have in case it is one day gone. I am old enough to had lived through a lot of my favorite things in this world going away...and those are many sad memories

Universal's parks ahve always been top notch, IMO. <<But their ticket options (no 1 day hopper)>> There most certainly is a one day hopper. http://www.universalorlando.co...s_2.aspx

Universal's parks ahve always been top notch, IMO ---- opinion is a lot of what I have been reading here- thought I'd chime in.. what I meant though was Disney relies on same old because back to 1955 for theme parks and the late 20's for movies -- they have basically unparalleled quality..Uni does not have quite the same history. Uni would do well to capitalize on the 1930's horror flicks where they were an industry leader etc.... As for the parks- yes I think they have always been a cut above Six Flags for instance..but the early days ere not great- from some quality issues to lack of meal options, to just brutal ride wait times. Have they improved- yes, absolutely..but they do not have 55 years of park history, no.

When has Disney last attempted to raise the bar in O-Town? (and please, resorts and timeshares do not count here because they wouldn't exist sans parks)

They get the parks they deserve out there I guess..."

Most notably Fear Factor Live really needs to be replaced. We discussed ad nauseum the fact that the water vortex effect in Posiden's Fury was turned off (it returned about 2 weeks ago). And another hot topic is the fact that The Hulk is in dire need of a refurb and total track repainting. They are not happy with how Dueling Dragon's queue was ruined with the lesser Dragon Challenge queue. Bottomline is Uni fans are as critical as Disney Fans.
