    The shuttles from the hotels usually only run a few times a day and you are at the mercy of their schedule. You never know how you are going to feel when at the parks. You might start of the day with all kinds of energy and fizzle by mid afternoon, especially on a hot day. If you have to wait 2 or 3 hours for a shuttle it can be a painful experience.

    When you stay on-site it is completely different. Then you can come and go pretty much as you please but off site doesn't give you that option.

There are taxi's, but not nearly as many as a big city like Chicago or New York. And you'd run up your bill in 2 days what a car would cost you for the week.

    If your staying off site just rent the car

    We've rented a car each time we flew down. It's very helpful when staying off property. Makes it easy to get something to eat and get back to your hotel quickly in the middle of the day.
