Good thing is the kids don't even ask to go there anymore...

I wonder why they changed his appearance.

In one of VH-1's "I Love the '80s" for the 1983 episode, they showed the commercial for them featuring the McNugget Buddies. Apparently that's the year they were introduced.

And no matter what you say, even if you hate everything else, their COFFEE is absolutely excellent.

Seriously, I eat a Chicken Sandwich and Large Coffee at least 4 times a week. I have loved McD's since I was a little tyke and still do to this day. And yes, before you ask, I have seen Supersize Me and Fast Food Nation.

I don't think McD's is necessarily trying to win over anyone with the odd commercials, I think they are trying to keep themselves on peoples' radar for lunch. Think about it.

"My" McDonalds throws out their bottom of the barrel from their coffee pots and doesn't add the old stuff to their new brewed pot, so their coffee is always good. And cheap.

Neither my son nor I are overweight and we would eat there everyday if we could!

And, the best thing is it's a company store (used for training managers) AND is decorated in vintage Disney. Even down to the sparkles, stars and cell prints in the bathrooms!

Incidentally, the company recently posted profits up in the last quarter and don't seem to be slowing down yet.

Yup, the ads are just a reminder that they're still around.
