If it sells for anything near what my Realtor lists it for, I'll have plenty of money to live on for more than a year. That'll give me plenty of time to settle in and get a job. I'm really excited but also completely freaked out. I've never done anything like this before. So many things to do; the hardest of which will be telling my mom that I'm moving 1300 miles away.

Pixie, I chose Tucson because the first time I visited, it felt like home and I just fell in love with it. Goodgirl, from what I can find on the IRS site, depending on how much I make, I can claim an exemption on most or all if it. I will have to have that verified and find out about state taxes. But even if I end losing about 1/3 of it, I'll still have plenty for several months. LuLu, I'm an IT guy. I've been in the IT/tech support field for about ten years, so I'm pretty sure that's what I'll do when I move.
