I also took advantage of knotts and universals haunts and it did not dissapoint! Out of all the times of year i have been to DL October is my fav. The weather is beautiful and so is everything about DL.

In addition to all the pretty decorations, I just like how it gets dark so early (around 5:30 instead of 9:00 in the summer), since everything seems so much more magical at night. When it gets dark early (and I still think it gets dark comically early in Southern California), you have a lot of time to appreciate it, even when the park closes early. I also like the time from around October 28-November 8, where there are Halloween decorations in certain areas of the park, and Christmas is already in full swing in the others. It always makes me laugh when I go to New Orleans Square before Halloween and they're already set up for Christmas. : )
