Anyways, the weekend before Thanksgiving is out as an option, but I REALLY want to go for the holiday season as I've never been that time of year - always in the summer.
Any suggestions from the regulars or those that have been this time of year as to what a good time to go would be?

    Thanks in advance!!

IMO, the crowds during CP was nothing like the crowds you encounter daily during the last 2 weeks of the year. If I could go again during the first couple weeks of December, I'd definitely go then.

Oh I agree 100%!! The only reason why I was really asking is because this will be the first time going with our kids and they will both be under 3 years old by that time (Catey will be 28 months, Wyatt 17 months), so I was trying to make it as easy on everyone as possible as far as crowds!! :eek:D

I love going at Christmas. I love the decorations, the smells, and the parades. Plus it's not hot like it is during the summer. Maybe we will run into each other.

Everyone is just a little bit nicer to each other too during the holidays... :)

Nicer people are usually the case, however, I did encounter a few EXTREMELY rude people during our visit during the 50th Anniversary.

Our first family trip was the week right after Thanksgiving with a 4 year old and a 22 month old. We had a blast and have made it an annual thing. One thing to note though...in 2008 the week after Thanksgiving will be the first week of December, as oppopsed to being the last week of November (as it has been since we have been going to the parks.) I'll be curious to see if this means that the candlelight processional or cast parties are that week. We kind of want to avoid those because of larger crowds or earlier closing times in DL. Just something we have thought about. Have a wonderful time planning and an even better time when you make it there!

The first week of Dec is when we have found it the least crowded. The early close didn't bother us because our small kiddos wear out pretty fast. We stayed away from mainstreet during the candle light and it didn't affect us at all.
Make sure to let each kid pick our a Christmas ornament to remember the great trip with and have fun!
