Our original plan was to drive down starting early on Thursday morning, spend the afternoon at DL, and leave Sunday afternoon. We can now leave Wednesday afternoon for the drive down. (About 6.5 hour) Where would be the best place to stop for the night short of DLR? I know there is not much available on May 17th, and we don't want to spend much for a place to sleep for one night. We could stop in Bakersfield, but I was wondering about morning traffic. Some place closer to Anaheim would be nice. Any suggestions?

This way we could get to DLR when it opens. Can't wait. It has been 2 years.

We do have reservation at DLH for the rest of our trip. Our first time there!

    Thanks. Mrs. B

I've also heard of others spending the night in Valencia and either getting an early start to beat traffic or relaxing there until after 9 am to drive the rest of the way to DL avoiding traffic.

I'm sure that Darkbeer would be a great resource for you.

Anywho, welcome to the boards. I just had to say something since I also happen to be a Mrs.B! Please come over to community and introduce yourself!

I hate stop and go traffic. Had enough of it when I lived in the Bay Area. And I want to use Early entry on Thursday instead of Saturday.

Can't wait. DD5 is finally tall enough for most of the rides.
