All the preparation and building up excitement has come to this very day! My niece Briana, her DH, Jaime, and their little boy, Diego, had flown in from WA on the 4/1 also and would be meeting us on Main St. We got our package from Getawaytoday.com, it came with a lanyard and a pin, only one for all 5 of us, downer, a voucher for our room at the DLH, coupons for USH and DtD, and a voucher for 2 adult and 2 children tickets. We had gotten a 3 day hopper from AAA for me before we left WA, so we could get the free parking in the Mickey structure. I really wanted my nephews to remember that tram ride to the park and the whole tram spiel. Check- in time for the hotel listed at 3 PM. I had called getaway today to make sure we could get into the park first. No problem, just go to the ticket booth and trade in the voucher for the tickets. No need to check into the hotel first. Yay! Getawaytoday.com Gave us an excellent deal for DLH, we had no problems with any part of our package. I would use them again if the price is right. My niece and her family used Costco and with the exception of having to wait until 2 am to be picked up at the Ontario airport they also had a great package deal. They stayed at the PPH, their package came with a lanyard and pins for each person, park hoppers, Mickey’s Toon town madness tickets, a free character breakfast, coupons, hotel voucher. They loved PPH and would stay there, and use Costco travel again. We parked, rode the tram in, traded in our voucher and walked towards the entrance. Nothing sounds so magical as that little magical sound when your ticket is read in the reader, Oh Happy Day!! My niece calls us and says she is by the silhouette store so we head over and meet up. The boys are taking in all the scenes, DN1 looks for characters to sign his autograph book. I tell him he’ll see some at breakfast. He ditches his book with dad and runs after his cousin. Payton and Diego are 2 months apart and the best of friends. It is so fun to see them together. We have ressies at the Plaza Inn at 9:50 am, its 9:15 am. We decide to do BLAB, YAY!! 5 min. wait wheeeeee! We loved this ride! We laughed at our pics. I was looking up, what the hey? After BLAB everyone but me, (Ride wimp), went on Star Tours. I start talking to the people on the right of me; hey they are from WA too! I talk with a mom to the left of me, she is from WA too! I’m like no wayyy! We all start to laugh, then we notice Seattle Seahawks jerseys, Mariner jerseys, Sonics, UofW jackets, WSU shirts, boooo, we’re Dawg fans. We joke that all of WA is here! Star tours lets out, the nephews who are real big Star Wars fans, loved it! Especially DB! It starts to rain, so out come the USH ponchos. We look around and it looks like half the park is wearing them, LOL! We head over to Plaza Inn for our ressie, its 9:30 am. Oh No, a huge line and a mix up on ressies! No problem they have ours. Yippeeee! Mickey waffles here I come! The mix up was when it started to rain everyone hit the Plaza Inn for breakfast. We had to wait awhile until they could find space for us. No problem, we are in DL and Fairy God Mother came out to say hello! This is the first I have seen her outside of a parade. Too cool! I’m more excited then the kids! They think I’m weird. Ah, amateurs. Next Plaza Inn, check in and the rest of our first day
