Two CM's were there - 1 said it vanish like magic - the other said Winnie the Pooh came and took it to his home.

I said come on what happen.....

Well at night the bees sleep, so they were waiting until the park close to remove it said a CM.

The entire time all I could think of is where is Darkbeer with his camera to report the Bee sighting. LOL

The next day of course I went first thing to ask what happen....they sprayed the littel bee suckers and the spot was partially blocked as they still continued to fall dying.

I just watched as passer byers never noticed -- bees were lurking over there heads.

AND THE BEE HIVE WAS HUGE.....I wonder how long it took for it to get so big and no one notice. It was HUGE.....

They will get inside the walls. If they get going in there, you'll have to have them exterminated and rip out all of the wallboard. I suggest you get them out of the roof ASAP!

Usually when they land to rest they will form a football shape over the queen to protect her and since they don't have their own territory yet, they aren't aggressive. I used to work on a horse ranch, and this happened twice. We called a bee keeper and he was thrilled to take the bees back to his own hive. I'm not crazy about bees, but without bees, and their pollination, we don't eat!

Hives get huge fast. It's not like 20 bees show up, then next week another 20, etc. The bees show up en masse and build pretty much overnight.

I had a swarm move past my house last year. You could literally watch them come down the street. They filled my front yard (not small) from the ground to the roof-top. It took them about 5 minutes to move to the neighbors.

I called a bee keeper and asked about the behavior. He told me that the hive had most likely become overcrowded and a new queen as taking *some* of the bees to a new location to build.

So, no gradual build up. Thousands of bees arrived at once!

disneyrunner ~ yes the CM said they sprayed them. The following day they were still dropping on the smalled roped off portion dying.

One of the CM said she had learned more about bees that day then she ever knew. They literally had a bee class.

I bet that was really interesting.
