    For me, it's:
TREASURE PLANET - a film that I simply adore and find - from among the so-called "contemporary" films - to be the most like a film Walt would have made, IMHO. I marvel at it every time I see it and love it more with each viewing. I think it has some of the best animation, best art direction, best character design and development and most heart-felt story telling of the Disney animated features. This is easily among my top five favorite Disney features of all time.

HERCULES - I laugh, I love the songs, I worship the character design, and I marvel at the animation. Just a giant piece of animated candy.

THE RESCUERS - A film that so many people seem to dismiss, but that I find a pure delight. Uncomplicated, charming, greatest villain since Cruella (and no, I don't think derivative of her)and some very moving and touching moments. I love it!

ATLANTIS - A brave and very successful attempt at making a graphic novel come to life on screen in animation. I think the characters are fun, I think the story is very well paced, I like that it isn't a musical, for once. And I love the styling of the film. I never fail to enjoy it when I see it.

    Pacha: Uh-oh.

Kuzco: Don't tell me, we're about to go over a huge waterfall.

    Pacha: Yep.

Kuzco: Sharp rocks at the bottom.

    Pacha: Most likely.

    Kuzco: Bring it on.

    [going over the huge waterfall]

    Kuzco: BOOOOYAAAAAAAAA!

She is EXACTLY , and I do mean EXACTLY like Chicha, who you may recall is Pacha's very pregnant wife.

I still to this day freak out when I watch it, I swear they could have used my wife as a model for looks, personality, wit, charm, and everything else for that character right down to being pregnant, which my wife was gave birth shortly after the movie's release.

I thought jeez, is that a sad kid, or what? I know not everything is everyone's cup of tea (though I hate tea personally, blech), but how could any kid not find "Robin Hood" delightfully funny?

Come to think of it, how could *anyone* not find it funny? I publicly proclaim that it is Disney's funniest animated feature, 2nd only to "The Sword in the Stone".

The scenes with Lafayette & Napoleon are some of the funniest moments in film history.

I like the Rescuers, too. Bernard & Bianca are excellent, fleshed-out characters, and the take-off scene is classic. It's a small movie in terms of scope, and that's no insult. Every film doesn't need to be epic & earth-shaking. This is much more intimate, and very, very poignant.

ENG I really wasn't looking forward to. When I was sitting in the theatre and David Spade's voice first came out of the speakers, I winced. But by the time I left the theatre, I thought it wasn't bad. Now it's a favourite.
