I have seen a lot of responses on this board, however, parkhopper, do you truly believe in what you are saying? There are many in Disneyland management who were there when Boag worked Golden Horseshoe, some management have been in place since 1970. THe Golden Horseshoe would have been the perfect place to hold this reunion, and, so easy to close after 6P or so. Imagine Mr. Boag and some of the other cast doing a few bits from the show? I wouldve paid $1000 to see this.

Sure, there are still a couple folks around from the time he was there (Oscar's been there for over 50 years), but by far the vast majority of cast members, including management hasn't been there since any time close to when Wally Boag was there. Does that mean that they don't know who he is? Maybe, since to a lot of people, it is just a job. Sure, there are some who really understand the magic, but they seem to sadly be in the minority these days, over ruled by people with characters, pixie dust, and the words "Dreams," "Magic," and "Wonder."

The picture posted on Saturday Night on LP shows Wally with the special award Wally was given. And there was no way all of us would fit in the Golden Horseshoe.

Do you not read my post? Which clearly stated Disney management? And read her post. She said NO ONE. As in Zero. I will be her over 30% of all working Disneyland personnel has heard on Wally Boag. Heck, make that over 50%, as Mr. Boag is part of the traditions class when employees are trained to work at the park.

There are all levels of managers in all types of positions. Just because they're out there interacting with guests and running the park on a day-to-day basis doesn't mean that they aren't in a management role.

SO you made my point (and slammed Park Hopper at the same time!)...you said 25% do not know who Wally Boag is...which mean, 75% does! Jeeees! Standing by for your next tail to try to (un)explain yourself.

Over at DCA and the Winery, while we were enjoying a Wine Sampling, the CM was asking a lot of questions about his experiences. He had one of the current Guests Buttons on that a CM wrote "Youngest Cast Member" with a Sharpie. So while a LOT of CM's don't know the history of the park, there are quite a few that are interested and want to learn, and that is a GOOD thing And as for the Saturday night event, I also need to add my Salute to those who arranged the event. The BEST news, a DVD will be available shortly of the event, so those who missed it can watch! The SAD news, Art Linkletter couldn't attend due to a mild stroke. Please send good thoughts and prayers to him and his family, he has been part of "Disneyland" since the beginning, and is a true legend!
