What's wrong with showing the original short in it's un-edited form? This seems like such a waste to me, and the new sounds don't mesh with the original animation. The SFX quality is not nearly as good as the original either.

The Mickey of "Have a Laugh" is young, funny, a bit mischievous, and contemporary. DCP will reflect the humor and fun from these Mickey moments into products for kids that will incorporate editorial, fun designs and fresh images.<< My babelfish translates that into "those old cartoons that that Walt What's-his-name guy made just aren't good enough for today's kids, so we've spent an hour or two in a small digital sound studio and improved them tremendously. You're welcome." Please, Disney, punch us again! And again! And again! Harder!

Why can't they create something new with Mickey to showcase his "newfound" (1928) personality? Oh, that's right, they can't be bothered actually creating something new and origianl...

Some might say that was because they didn't bother actually releasing them on DVD, but obviously that's just fanboy ignorance.

Give actual cartoonists the chance to come up with their own 7 minute short. And then eventually these could be sold on DVD in collections. (I tried experimental animated shorts in college. Caused chaffing.) I think it would be more interesting than the 50th showing of an episode of Hannah Montana. (Probably nowhere as profitable in the short term, but more interesting.)
