Did we learn the lesson of Wendebird's trip a couple Decemeber's ago, I guess not. Pixie Glitter had an enjoyable stay in February I believe.

I think that was "Pixie Perspective" though. LOL! I know my dear friend has class and taste so I'm not sure how she must have gotten the best two dang rooms in the joint OR that on this trip we got the worst.

    So here's go:

    1. Customer Service - there is none! From the security guard who greeted us with - "what are you doing here?", followed with "what do you want?"

To the late night hotel desk clerk who said we didn't have a room after I repeatedly gave him names that were called in days before and in the computer system to his then insistance that we couldn't have a parking pass because one was already issued and it wasn't. My friend quincytoo arrived, checked in and never requested a pass, she had no car, she flew.

To the day shifts hotel clerk AND supervisor who were extremely rude and juvenile with us when we requested a second pass for a second room. The supervisor stood next to the clerk dealing with SuzieQ and I never saying who he was until our last resort with the clerk was to say "I want to talk to your supervisor." They played a false game of going into a back office and coming back out again several times like they were talking to someone else.

Then lied once they did give us the pass that they discussed it with another security guard who in fact had no clue what was going on.

    2. The rooms -
    a. blood on pillows
    b. paper thin towels
    c. stained sheets and cover
    d. pillows so flat there was no point
    e. the entire wall where the TV, and bathroom outlets were not functioning
    f. remote with no batteries or battery cover
    g. filthy stained bathtub

    3. Odd set up - we had a two room suite (ok, that's a laugh in of itself) one room had the refrigerator and hair dryer. The other side had the coffee maker and microwave. No other amenities either: no pen, notepad - reported from goodgirl.

    4. Continential Breakfast - LOLOLOLOLOLOL! If you like soapy coffee, and day old danishes this is your place.

    5. Funny with the money - this is twice now that how they charge the rooms and who's credit card gets charged what came into play. First with Wendebird and this trip with quincytoo. They can chime in if they like to explain.

NEVER EVER AGAIN! I am not a motel/hotel snob. I stay in no-frill places all the time when looking to save costs. I do expect some customer service and a clean room though with all the things advertised to be in it and functioning.

    Ugh!

These guys are trained to keep a completely blank look on their faces at all times. Zero sincerity, zero help, zero people skills. And when they said they were "checking with the (supervisor/security guard/whoever)", the fact that they were leaving the room and doing nothing was totally obvious.

If they are going to feed their customers lines like that, management needs to send their employees to acting school!

I know very few of us who swore by HoJo's for years and recommended them to anyone who would listen, book there anymore :(

I am posting a scalding review on tripadvisor and then emailing it to them.

    Anyone care to help me??

Anyhow I checked my Visa yesterday...Desert Inn charged 758.00 on it rather then the 260.00 .....I phoned them and they said they would be adjusting it.

I know that when you stay at Hotels they put through an amount against your account....these was a charge....

I'll let you know what happens.

Perhaps I will look around for something else. Thanks for the report.
