This year seems to be the exception to every rule. By insider accounts the attendance is still going gangbusters, and other than 'nemo-subs' and 'project sparkle' (both started long before october) there isn't any significant new construction or rehab work - or even announcements of what's to come. Things are eerily quiet at a time that we should be hearing something. The only thing we're hearing now is that earlier rumors have been axed. Canceling proposed additions costs nothing. FY06 started almost four weeks ago and I'm not aware of any new projects starting, or even rumors of new projects. Kind of discouraging really - has anybody heard rumblings of new projects getting funded?

But to their credit, they are doing "Gangbusters" and somebody will be pulling the trigger on projects soon enough, would be my guess. Paitence would be the order of the day.

The DCA improvements, from what I can see so far, are minimal and insignificant - new palms and new pavers in the HPB back area - big whoop. Considering the enormous success they're having with the 50th, you might think that they'd be encouraged enough by the public's response to consider adding a "really for real new attraction". I guess not.
