If it makes a difference, it was a "Gold Collection" videocassette.

There has also been a bit of digital tweaking of the side of a coed's breast in All the Cats Join In. When the girl emerges from the shower, you could originally see more than you can in present releases.

    That's all I know about.

Villians turning into monstrous creatures and then being run through with pointy objects:
    Sleeping Beauty
    Little Mermaid

And let's not forget some films like Atlantis(coolest death ever by a villian)Treasure Planet and the Incredibles in which several characters meet their demise.

Bear in mind that villains tend to fall to their death, or meet a somewhat "fantasy" demise. People shooting each other to death is a little too close to reality these days.

I think it had to do with the school shootings that happened a few years ago (ie Columbine), and this was when Disney was starting to release more and more of their films (MMM, Ichabod and Mr. Toad, Melody Time).

Saludos Amigos and Melody Time have also been tweaked a bit: Pecos Bill and Goofy were smoking cigarettes in their respective shorts and those sequences were removed...although it IS okay to show Pinocchio, Lampwick, Foulfellow, Baltus van Tassel, The Caterpillar, Captain Hook, Cruella De Vil, Merlin, Sykes, Grimsby and Ratigan smoking. :)

And I just can't resist...to expand on DAR's list, here are the Villains whom we have lost throughout the years:

    IN MEMORIAM
-The Evil Queen/Hag: Fell to her death
    -Maleficent: Stabbed
-The Horned King: Sucked into the Black Cauldron/disintegrated
-Professor Ratigan: Fell to his death
-Sykes: Killed in a car/train accident
    -Ursula: Impaled
-Percival C. McLeach: Fell to his death
    -Gaston: Fell to his death
    -Scar: Attacked/eaten by hyenas
    -Frollo: Fell to his death
-Shan Yu: Killed in a fireworks explosion
    -Clayton: Accidentally hung himself
-The Jack-in-the-Box: Thrown into a fireplace
-Commander Lyle T. Rourke: Crystallized and exploded/blew up

    PIXAR
-Hopper: Eaten by a family of birds
-Syndrome: Sucked into a jet turbine/blew up

With the exception of the Evil Queen and Maleficent, all the Villains until 1985 survived; most of them were "never seen again".

Adult Pecos had a cancer stick in most of that cartoon, which was photoshopped out, frame by frame. A verse of his song got axed completely.

Does anyone have the Timeless Tales version so we can compare?

It aired on the Disney Channel several times. The DVD release was the first time it had been snipped, AFAIK.
