Now that I am ap i go to disneyland fairly regularly. and even with the talk of of high turnover i still see many many familiar faces each time i go. i even see a few cms that i knew while working at disneyland almost 10 years ago. bravo cms!

But I do remember a few years ago when we were listening to the REAL Dapper Dans a kid walked by crying her guts out, Shelby (the lead) said jokingly "hey, there's no crying in Disneyland!" Everyone laughed but I think the little girl was crying to loudly to even hear him.

DH and I got aboard the Jungle Cruise with less than a dozen people. Our skipper was Kiki. We have had her before and she is always great. But to add to it another CM asked if he could come along. He had a huge oar and when we passed the crocodile he started whacking it. He splashed the spraying elephant and when we passed the hippos he started paddling and singing, "Just Around the Riverbend." We were all in hysterics and we felt it added such a special touch to a very good trip.

Or Robert at the front desk who upon hearing how ill I was Monday morning got us straight into our room. And David in guest services who went out of his way to help my niece fix her hat that she broke when she put it in her backpack. Those were just a few of the wonderful CM's we came across. Oh and with Robert when he saw my hubby the next morning he thought enough to ask about me and to make sure I was feeling better. It is the little nice things like these that made our trip special.

First they delayed the fireworks for 10 min until all the choirs had arrived (other park guests told delayed due to high winds) Next we had the 3 CM's from DCA's Animation show (the one where they sing and draw the characters) and they did a big song and dance (most from the DCA show) then the Fab 5 came out in their TYOAMD outfits. As the officiator (SP?) of the Festival prepared to give out the plaques and trophies Merlin came out and did a little routine, and then he was the won to hand each of the 2 teens from each of the winning Choirs their award. As the big awards for the directors (all of whom deserve awards) were being prepared to be handed out the Fab 5 came back out to congratulate them as Merlin gave them their trophies. At the end they played a dance track for the kids to dance (reminding them to dance properly for DL and MM). During this 1 1/2 hr ceremony they kept about 3000 teens entertained. As we were leaving the area each CM we passed congratulated all the kids asking how their choirs did and listening to them when they were telling them how they did and how excited they were about it. These CM's truely made sure these kids had a great time.
