Does Disney announce in advance what is going to be closed for maintenance/refurbishing and when it's scheduled to reopen? If so, where?

I think it was very cool that they had a chocolate fountain at the buffett. Do you think that the carriage was for photos?
I also want so much to ride those subs. I can hardly wait! I wonder if the seagulls will get tiresome after the first few weeks or will folks still find them humorous next year?

Or maybe since you are not going till October, you can write to customer service and have them tell you what is being planned/will be being worked on then, and emphasize that you feel you ought to be told simply because you are planning this and paying them $$ and it's just the right thing to do. Right?

What, Mr. I'm Late, you don't believe that it might be a nice service to tell people what won't be available so they can schedule their rather expensive visits accordingly?

Incidentally, by digging in the FAQ they acknowledged that the Calendar (<a href="http://disneyland.disney.go.com/disneyland/en_US/calendar/monthly/monthly?name=CalendarMonthlyPage" target="_blank">http://disneyland.disney.go.co
    m/disneyland/en_US/calendar/monthly/monthly?name=CalendarMonthlyPage</a>)
was the place to go - unfortunately it only goes out to the end of July right now. Seems like it would be smart to put it out to at least Labor Day weekend. But does indeed include scheduled refurbs - as of next Friday the following are down, which pretty much matches the photos:

    Closed for Refurbishment:
    Fantasmic! River Show
    Mark Twain Riverboat
    Professor Barnaby Owl
    Splash Mountain
    Tarzan's Treehouse
    Tom Sawyer Island
