The kids had so much fun watching the short order cook making their breakfast! Rich & I used to always stop at the Waffle Houses on our way from NJ to FL years ago, so it was neat to eat at this greasy spoon again. The waitresses were very nice here & we had some good food & great conversations with them. We headed to the Magic Kingdom again with one goal, to ride Space. We stopped at Tony's Towne Square to see if we could get a PS, they said to show up at 4:15 & when they reopened at 4:30, they would see what they could do. So headed right to Space & rode with a 30 minute standy-by. Now maybe it's just me, but that queue seemed, so tight, I felt a bit claustrophobic. I actually had to talk myself back down, I was close to just getting out of line, maybe it was just warm inside or the air was stale, I just felt woozy. Anyway, we ride the ride & after what they've done at DL, this was a HUGE disappointment. The rockets are sooooo tiny, you ride single file, no doubling up, no music, it was so light inside you could see where you were going & the asteroids look like chocolate chip cookies, lol. I hope they get an update soon like we got. We had gotten fast passes before we went in, so I found a family of 4 waiting in line & gave them to them to use. We had no interest in riding it again. Next we grabbed FP's for Buzz, rode TTA again, Saw Carousel of Progress, love that, but they need something to fill the gap from 1940 to 2006, lol. Rode Buzz, saw Stitch's Great Escape again & then we got to see a new show that hasn't opened yet & we LOVED it!!! It's called Comedy Club/Floor with Monsters Inc. Something like that. It's a show done much in the way Turtle Talk is done. The Monsters do a stand up comedy act & use people out of the audience, they put their picture up on the screen & you become part of the act. They haggle you a bit, poke fun, it was a very good show & would be a great addition. It's going in the building next to Buzz, across from Stitch. The only bad thing I saw was the seating. It's just plastic benches & they were so high even my feet couldn't reach the floor when I sat. (I'm 5'7") After the show the CM's asked us questions about what we liked, didn't like, etc & then we all got FP's good for any attraction that day! YAY! Then we walked through the castle for the first time! (It's always closed up!) The kids liked the mural on the wall inside & then we browsed Tink's shop. We got Kristi (our dance teacher) a Tink ornament & Cassie a pair of sunglasses. (our only souvenir the whole trip) Then a CM (very nice young gal) asked Cassie if she'd like to play a game with her. She had to match the Disney princesses to their prince & then answer a question. (Like, who was Lumiere's sidekick) Then Rachel played the game. It was a very nice, quiet, special time for the girls. Then we headed to Tony's to see if we'd get to eat there, lol. As we were waiting to be seated, the kids watched Lady & the Tramp. You can see in the pictures how tired all the kids are, lol. Well, the decor & Christmas decorations were awesome here, but the food wasn't. Only 2 places our whole trip that had gross food, Tony's & Sci-Fi, I guess that's not too bad. I got this pasta dish w/chicken & pesto, it tasted like they didn't drain the pasta & the water mixed w/the sauce, watering it down to a gross, tasteless mess. Rich & the girls all got the same thing, spaghetti & meatballs. The consensus from them was the meatballs were good, the sauce, not so much. So you may want to give this one a pass if you ever visit. We did however have an awesome waiter from Phoenix. He was excellent & sat with us & chatted for quite a bit. From then we headed to Mansion & it was only 46 degrees! We were freezing, so what do we do? LMAO, we each get a Mickey Premium ice cream bar. We ate while we walked to Big Thunder, FUN! Love that ride! Rode Pirates once more on the way out & then had to leave because the MVMCP was starting. On the way out we noticed the Swiss Family Treehouse was still opened even though it was dark. We hadn't done this yet! We asked if we could still check it out & the very nice CM said yes, but we'd have to leave when we were done. YAY! We really enjoyed it, the girls love the movie & it was their first time in it. I so wish we had this vs Tarzan's Treehouse. As we were leaving the park, Rachel turns to me & says "how can I pay a compliment to Walt Disney World?" So I suggested stopping at City Hall on the way out. She agrees. So we stop at City Hall, wait in a very short line & Rachel walks up to the CM & says she'd like to pay a compliment to Disney World. The CM asks her.....wait, it went like this... Rachel: I'd like to pay a compliment to Walt Disney World CM: Do you mean a certain cast member? Rachel: no, just Disney World CM: Ok, what is it that you wanted to tell us? Rachel: I just wanted to tell you thank you, we had such a great time here. Walt Disney World really brings families together. CM: Thank you so much sweetie, that made my night. Would you like an address to send a letter to? Rachel: Yes, Thank you Wendy: Anybody have a tissue? So we all stood there on the steps outside City Hall & did a big family hug because now Cassie was crying too. Ahhh, we're such saps. Anyway, we headed home, turned the hot tub on high for about 45 minutes & then all 4 of us hopped in, even though it was like 45 degrees outside. We had some snacks & hit the hay around 11 PM.
