My best friend growing up was my neighbor Brian and he and I would play Lincoln Logs and Hot Wheels for HOURS and hours.

I think it goes without saying that these are especially precious as they are all I have. I also have a blackened plastic case that holds a melted pen and autographed ticket to a Jim Stafford concert. It also holds the cracked glass that contained the Tequilla Sunrise he bought me after the concert.

I also have a White New Testament that my mom says, "I let you cut your teeth on that so that you would not depart from it when you grew older." Yeah, it sort of freaks me out a little too, but I still have it. I guess I am yet to depart from it, but I don't think that is exactly what mom had in mind.

(you would too if you had what seemed like a gazillion new clothes and books & toys thrown at you all at once). I have no idea what I was thinking other than what do I do with this stuff or what are they going to do to me now? =P

I still have some of my originals-- totally battered and played out. A few years ago I bought some vintage sets. http://www.personal.u-net.com/ ~lilleker/con-am-bricks.htm I also had trolls-- those odd little plastic figures with the long hair. http://www.hersmine.com/Troll%20Dolls%2004/TD2502A.jpg Most of all, I miss my Matchbox cars. I had the Matchbox City that folded up in a case, too. Here is an image of the cover of the case: http://www.vectis.co.uk/images /vectis/160305/1301.jpg (Wish they showed it folded out!) Another odd toy I remember quite vividly was Bizzy Buzz Buzz. It was an odd, vibrating scissor device that looked kind of like a bee or a dolphin. Just by turning it on, it could cut through paper without risk of cuts. (Yes, I know that THE Bizzy Buzz Buzz was a pen, But ours was scissors. I don't know why...)
