Originally Posted By hiddencat3 All you do is ask a Conductor when you get there. They will then ask the Engineers if it is ok that you ride up there with them. You can only board at Main Street Sation and you have to do a round trip. You might have to wait a bit, but it is worth it. Have fun!

You will indeed be seated on the front of the tender, but you can see all the activity going on in the very small cab. The engineers and firemen are very nice and enjoy showing the kids (even the BIG kids) how the trains are run. Be sure to ask someone at the station to take your picture!
