I was also able to enjoy the new Easter Parade and event this year, as well as Tokyo DisneySea Spring Vogaye event. All in all a great day at Tokyo Disney resort. More on this very shortly. Need to get rest after a long flight home.

Ok.. so comments I meant to write about and didn't get to do earlier.. - The new TDL Easter parade is FABULOUS. High energy with a great parade song and soundtrack. Must get CD music enthusiasts. Very colorful brand new decor all over the park and a HUGE selection of Easter merchandise. Puts the MK's little easter pre parade show on april 20th to real bloody shame. - Preparations have begun for the new castle show around the hub. Heavy greenery around the hub and on either side of the castle area around the moats have been drastioally cut down or trimmed. I personally am NOT happy about this. TDL is becoming more and more like the MK where a shaded spot is hard to find. Also some big trees in front of Peter Pan have been cut down and the planter has been reduced in size. Why? Not sure. Maybe to add more space for parade viewing, but if my wish was to come true, then it would be for preparations to take down the old 1971 style Dumbo and replace it with the newer one now found at all other Disneyland parks. This would be a long overdue improvement, but doubtful it will happen. -Huge construction projects going on in Toontown.. the old Huey, Dewey restaurant and dining area is behind construction walls. Not sure what's going on there. I would hope for it to be a newly expanded indoor eatery or even better.. a new attraction. We will see. -Big Thunder's fast pass distribution machine area has been relocated. It sat in front of the attraction closer to the Shooting gallery. Now, the new location now is to the right side of the main entrance of the ride, in the old spot that used to be the overflow queue area. It's IMO a good change. It effectively removed the FP distribution area to an area that does not create traffic jams for those entering the ride and also makes the entire attraction front side look cleaner and unobstructed, making the ride's queue building and facade, moutain, a great photo spot from down below. - All the bling associated with the 30th anniversary on the castle and down World bazaar has been taken down. The castle may have recieved a touch up of color because it looks GREAT. Even with the new paint they have applied to the MK castle, the TDL castle still looks ten times better in it's tan shades and gold accents. This makes the MK castle look bland, even with the touch ups they have added lately. World Bazaar on the other hand..looks bland with out the colorful banners and decor. Oh well. We will have to wait until the next celebration around Halloween or Xmas for this area to recieve the annual cosmetic make up. Finally... Over at TDS.. Duffy's Spring Voyage is in full swing. Gardens this year are very colorful and feature designs of assimetric shapes and colors. - Oswald the Rabbit is busy at his very own meet and greet spot and the lines for him are on average 90 mins. Want to have your pic taken with Oswald (which looks great in rubber head form)? then go there first thing in the morning or after getting fast passes for Toy story, right away. In regards to the Spring Voyage event.. the three shows associated with the event appear to be the same shows from the last 2 years of this event. Only make an effort to see those if they are new to you. At waterfront park's side facing the Columbia SS, there is a GORGEOUS floral arrangement that is new to this year's celebration and is about 12' tall. Looks like a floral cake or float with Mickey and Minnie on it and Duffy. Its just gorgeous and a must do photo. - The venetian side of the Miracosta has been refurbished and looks like a million $$. Beautiful and colorful, yet thematically aprop. Another must do photo area. - A piece of DCA has arrived at TDS. the young Walt Disney statue at DCA has been cloned and placed near the Aquasphere. It was walt Disney Co's gift to OLC for the 30th anniversary of TDR. While the statue is great at DCA, I am not sure that it is appropriate for TDS and seems out of place. The same way that Roy's statue sits in front of World bazaar at TDL.. It's an odd sight. oh well.. At least it reminds TDS guests who Walt Disney is. Finally.. a comment on fastpass. Given the circumstances about fastpass at TDR, which still uses the old paper fastpass system, and taking in consideration the morning stampede that makes TDR opening rush a huge tramppling mess, this is a resort that could benefit greatly from the new WDW Fastpass+ system. If there is a resort that can improve the fastpass distribution conditions with a fastpass+ system, then that is Tokyo. I have to admit that after trying the WDW system several times and loving the ease of convenience it offers, I would love to see this system be used at TDR. I did NOT miss having to run from one ride to the next to get fastpasses at a predetermined time or distribution window. After years of years of seeing WDW take the bits and pieces that OLC has allowed the resort to take from TDR, I think it's time that WDW reciprocated and gave OLC the Fastpass+ system. It would make things a bit more bearable at TDR, especially on heavy attendance days which account for like... 85% of the entire calendar year. LOL And I can see those Duffy magic bands selling like hot cakes.. Not much else here that is new or worthy of pointing out.. Thanks for reading.
