You have Drawn to the Magic on weekends either on Hollywood Blvd in front of the Animation Building, or more likely, on the Backlot Stage near Monsters, Inc.

Sometimes you can find Characters in the Backlot area, but it seems like it is very seldom nowadays.

Sunshine Plaza usually has a character or two out from opening until early afternoon.

The Farm area has scheduled meets for Flik and Atta, they gather under the large Flik's Fair sign (which is still missing the F-U-N leaves). The Bug Ball show has been cancelled and the stage area has been removed.

PUSH has moved from Tomorrowland to Bathroom Row, and works in front of the water wheel area, Friday thru Sunday.

The Miner 49'ers also work weekends near the entrance to GRR

Then you have the daily Lighting McQueen and Mater meet and greets in front of the Golden State Amphitheater.

The High School Musical is offered 3 times a day Friday thru Tuesday.

Block Party Bash is now only offered Friday thru Sunday.

It doesn't look like they have any true "Streetmosphere" like Disney-MGM Studios has where characters just walk around interacting or doing improptu, interactive shows with the audience. Laughing Stock is the closest thing I can think of at the DL Resort. DCA seems like an ideal place for a such a thing.

    Oh well.

'Califia' is of course the legendary Amazon warrior queen, associated with the mythical Island of California [played in the movie 'Golden Dreams' by Whoopi Goldberg].

Having a walk-around 'Califia' could have been really cool. According to the movie 'Golden Dreams' she pops up in different times and places, so they could have had her dressed in her ancient robes in front of 'Golden Dreams,' or at the Sunshine Plaze, or in a turn-of-the-century dress and parasol in 'Paradise Pier,' etc...

Sure, she might not be recognizable at first glance, but once people got who she is, it could have been a neat feature.

Seriously, I think that's a great idea. I really great idea, in fact! I'm sure DCA is too far into its "make over" for a California-centric thing like this. But looking back to the good old days of Three Bags Full and Steps in Time, I think this would've been wonderful.

Thanks for the comments, Doobie. But yeah, can't see them ever approving something like a 'Califia' walk-around.
