    My favorite description:

<Walt grapples with a series of antagonists—from the artist Dantine, fired for trying to form a union and angry about having his creative output completely appropriated by Walt, to a chilling encounter with a Disneyland automaton of Abraham Lincoln, who won't stop speaking lines about freedom that were supposedly cut from its script>

I love the notion of an AA Lincoln talking to Walt. "Look, you're the boss here, but Royal Dano sounds nothing like me.'

Reading this, I wonder exactly how much of the opera is factual, and how much is based in rumors and urban legends. Walt was cremated, which is about as far from frozen as you can get.

There's never been a play written or performed that I'd go to London just to see. And I like London.

I saw A Public Reading of an Unproduced Screenplay About the Death of Walt Disney by Lucas Hnath in NYC recently (at the Soho Rep) and that was very entertaining indeed. Our four actors - Walt, Roy, Diane and Ron - but all of them were excellent. Diane is played by Amanda Quaid - Randy's daughter and she is excellent. I'd previously seen her in the exceptional Cock (called Cockfight Play in NYC).

    NYT loved this play too:
