I'm already planing on 50's Prime Time, Chef Mickey's, The Garden Grill, Ohana and Le Cellier. It's just me and my 9 YO son, so The California Grill and Victoria and Alberts are both out.

The other "pricey" place I was planning to try was the Italian place in Epcot. Boma's gets great reviews too, if that appeals to you. It is a buffet, so not as much of a "value" on the plan.

Jiko is outstanding as well although it might have a surcharge as well, though I have'nt checked.

Boma is quite good for that matter as well, though we were not as impressed as others have been.

The Flying Fish at the BW is awesome for seafood and Spoodles is (IMHO) one of the best sit down, non-buffet values in all of WDW.

I second Indigos Brown Derby suggestion (we've only done lunch the times we've eaten there but it was excellent) and would offer up to you the 50's Prime Time Cafe as a very enjoyable with excellent (and suprisingly dead-on) home cooking.

    Man, I want that recipe!

Beaches and Cream at the Yacht and Beach Club. Yummy sundaes and good food off the grill.

Dinner at Whispering Canyon at Wilderness Lodge. Fun atmosphere, and good food too. Breakfast is a little more relaxed, but still tastey.

If your son enjoys trying lots of different foods, go with Boma for dinner. Breakfast is good too, but not as adventurous. (for Boma, don't use your Dining plan, as it's not as good a value there)

For walk-ups, I like the previously mentioned Tangerine Cafe as well as the Yakitori House in Japan. In MK, the noodle station was surprisingly good and, though we didn't eat there, the Columbia Harbor House had an interesting menu. Both Tusker House and Flame Tree BBQ at AK are worth a visit.

For snacks, if they count as snacks, the bakery at Norway and Starring Rolls in MGM are great choices.

I just wanted to eat in the castle again, oh well, the boy was horrified of the idea of having his pic taken with girl characters anyway.
