Twin Peaks in San Francisco, if it's a bright clear day. The view from there is truly breathtaking. Absolutely stunning. Peoples jaws usually hit the floor when you get to the top and look out at the entire city, the bridges, the East Bay hills. 2. Golden Gate Bridge Vista point - clear or foggy, each a unique experience. The city skyline is awesome, night or day, it's beautiful. 3. 17 mile drive in Carmel - just gorgeous, also the drive from Pacific Grove to Monterey, with a stop near the Asilomar conference center for a walk on the beach and playing in the tide pools. 4. Yosemite!!!! Most people are like why Lisa do you want to drive me 2.5 to 3 hours to see mountains. I generally tell them to shut up and get in the truck. I've NEVER had anyone tell me afterwards, well that was a waste of time. My most favorite place in all of California. <sigh> I figure there are plenty of good restaurants, museums, clubs, etc to go see but our natural geography is really the best thing to show off in California.

In no particular order: Smithsonian Museums. There's something of interest for everyone. Drawback is, there are so many of them! The most popular is the Air and Space, but they're all worth a visit. White House, Capitol, National Archives, etc. Monuments and Memorials galore: Lincoln, Jefferson, Washington, Vietnam, WWll, FDR, Iwo Jima. National Zoo: if anyone is coming soon, Tai Shan is a must see! George Washington's Mt. Vernon estate.

There's usually a ferry ride involved as well. If they're of the fast food connoisseur variety - there's usually a stop at Dick's Drive in for a Deluxe, Fries and a shake. Depending on the time of year, the tulip festival in LaConner, or a day trip over to the penisula. For one friend in particular, we usually do a day trip to Vancouver, BC as well.

We hope to someday go back and have our picture together in the same spot.
