We're not DVC member ourselves but since we average a trip to the parks every year it pays for itself in park admission.. We usually can get 2 trips to the parks from our AP. Also the AP rates on WDW hotels make it worthwhile too. =) I have no idea what the numbers would be though for actual park going APs.

Sorry. But the number is a lot higher than that.

They just get signed in the day, or week they're in town, etc. It's the out of state people like us who buy the WDW AP, to save money on admission, rooms, etc. when we go.

Then add the people that do a trip at the beginning and a trip of the end of the year. An AP costs less than a 10 day park hopper with no-expiration, so I think more people are buying them now than a decade ago where you had to go 12-14 days to break even.

So then I got to thinking that it might be worth it if I could get food & merchandise discounts with my annual pass (and just purchase the Magic your Way passes for the rest of the family).I looked on the website to see if there are discounts at restaurants, shops, etc., but couldn't find that out. Does anyone know about WDW discounts? Thanks.
