Next, she'll find that her nice chair has been replaced with a completely different, much older one that is also lowered all the way down to kindergarten level.

Then, when her phone rings it will KEEP ringing as the cradle button has been taped down.

Finally, when she reaches for a pen, she'll find that ALL of her nice roller ball and cushy fine point designer-style pens have been replaced with Berol Markers, overhead projector/marker board pens, blue highlighters, dried out cheap-o pens and some with pink ink.

Nothing too outrageous and she does have an excellent sense of humor... Should be good for a few good laughs today! :)

DH and DS are both CPA's (in different towns) and I work in DH's office. By April first there is a "light at the end of the tunnel." As in no more 12-15 hour days, weekends not spent at the office AND vacation time is coming. So today DH sent DS this "forward" with a copy to me...

Subject: RE: AICPA IRS joint task force - all CPA's and income tax preparers
    Date:Tue, 1 Apr 2008 09:39:28 EDT

Please note you will soon receive the official pronouncement regarding extension of income tax filing to April 30, 2008 for individuals and corporations. The most recent addendum to the mortgage relief act has been finalized.

    (below)

and then DH inserts a line about April Fools and some dad loves you stuff :)

You might need to know someone who works with taxes to think it's funny. I for one started panicking because I have vacation time booked that NO ONE was going to be messing with :)

Happy April Fools Day all :)

Being a CPA, I loved the tax joke. Fortunately for me, I do not deal with taxes so April 15th doesn't affect me.

    Happy Birthday UtahJosh.

He thought it was really funny and soooo wanted to post it on the inside of the mens room door :) I wouldn't let him because we don't know everyone who works in the building, so we posted it on the inside door in our waiting area. A few clients got a kick out of it :) Thanks!

The upside down trick doesn't work on my mac :(

There's another funny restroom idea I read about... Take a pair of pants and shoes... Use something to anchor the pants "up" just a bit so anyone looking under the door will assume there are "legs" inside.

Then place the props on the inside of a men's room stall, lock the door and leave them there. It works especially well if there's only one stall and a handful of men coming in and out of the restroom. ;-)

I just tried the upside-downy trick... It works here! Heh heh heh... Oh, Mr. Alice!!!

The radio DJ here played a BAAAD trick on us.

"Garth Brooks coming to concert on July 4 to the Coachella Valley! Call 1-800-Mecca-Dome or go to www.meccadome.com for more info on tickets"

So I call. I get a message that says call another number. I call that one: Talk-Sex line. OOOPS. But, I figured I dialed the wrong number. So I go to the website, and there's nothing there. That's when I realized that it was an April Fool's Joke. I don't think he meant for the Sex line to be on the other end, he just made up a number, because he said the concert was going to be in the Mecca Dome in Mecca, CA.

I called the mid-day DJ, and she confirmed it for me.

MAN, I missed garth in LA back in Jan, I was STOKED. :p

What you end up with is what appears to be a normal desktop, but it's actually just a picture of it. Whe you click on any of the icons, you get no response, because it's just part of the background. I sure wish I knew what those shortcuts were though...
