I don't think anyone but the most hardcore MJ fans liked that part of the show. It was the singing and dancing that made Captain EO wotrthwhile. It was, and still is, exciting to watch, especially in the theater when you could see and feel the music.

Two hours late starting the show and no air conditioning in the arena is not the way to win over your audience.

But the bad acting by Jackson and the mistakes left in the final film by Coppola and his editors, made this a very weak product.

Could some nice person fill me in ? >> Captain EO was in the Imagination Building at Epcot where Honey I Shrunk the Audience currently is. It played from 1986 - 1994 when it was replaced by HISTA. We saw it in 1991 and I also remembered nothing about it other than MJ being in it and that I didn't particularily enjoy it. I think it is perhaps a generational thing. I didn’t think Michael Jackson was great even when he WAS great.
