And there will be the Mickey Mouse Celebration with new show on the Hub as the event to replace the 2.5 year long 15th anniversary celebrations.

-- Monsters, Inc. Ride & Go Seek!(TDL) (no clue)

--Jonas Brothers 3D Experience (will do okay- not my cup of tea)

--Race to Witch Mountain (intesting- prob will do okay but not be a blockbuster)

--Disneynature's Earth (interesting.. prob will find its audience but not globally)

It will be a money maker.Judging from our 4 year old grandsons LOVE of anything Toy Story the more the merrier.

    Theme Parks

-What Will You Celebrate campaign=miss, highly likely.
If it's anything like the Year of a Million losers campaign it will be a snore fest. I am not a fan of these campaigns, I just like to go to Disneyland because it's Disneyland, not to "get" something. It already excluded those who can't get to the park on their birthday because it's a work day or school day. I'm not trying to be negative here and hope I am proven wrong.

-Its a Small World=Hit, highly likely.
The new overlay in DL will be well received by anyone other than Disney purists. The kids don't know that the characters "shouldn't" be there and the adults will be happy that the kids are entertained in an air conditioned, off your feet, 15 minute cruise. I am looking forward to it.

    -Celebrate a Street Party=Miss, likely.
I am not a parade person (other than the Christmas parade :) so I may be biased from the get go.

Rebekah, I won't be offended if this isn't what you were looking for ;) Did you just want a vote and not an opinion?

    Predictions:

--The "What Will You Celebrate?" campaign - will be a wash. It will likely have a bigger impact in DL than WDW due to the locals market. But I believe it will be as successful as the year of million dreams - a nicety but not a draw.
--American Idol Experience (DHS)- I think this will be popular with the Tweens market and maybe groups. But again for most, a meh.
--Celebrate a Street Party (DL)- mixed reviews will come out
-- Monsters, Inc. Ride & Go Seek!(TDL) - will be a huge success with 1 hour waits and a dash for fastpasses
-- Kim Possible World Showcase Adventure (Epcot) - moderate success, and a nice to have
--it's a small world with new additions (DL) - sadly, I think it will be popular and most will call us ante character folks whack jobs.
--Move It, Shake It, Celebrate It! Street Party (MK) - the tourists will probably lap it up, particularly those from the UK.

    Theatrical Releases

--Jonas Brothers 3D Experience - sure it will do well in the Tween Market
--Race to Witch Mountain - moderate
--Disneynature's Earth (don't know enough to comment)
--Disney-Pixar's Up - this will be one of the key family hits of the year, possible oscar nominations
--Hannah Montana the Movie - sure it will wash it's face
--GForce - don't know enough to comment
--Disney's Princess and the Frog - I hope this does very well, then we may see a return to traditional animation
--Toy Story 3D - not sure. In the UK, it will not do that well as it will be a limited release I am sure, and many will say (well we have had it on DVD for 10 years, why go out to see it even if it is 3D - but I will try to see it)
--A Christmas Carol -likely to do moderately well.

Playhouse Disney Paris will do well with the stroller set

Star and Motorcars is likely to be very successful

I think we may see a dip in DLP attendance after a strong 2 years of growth - the Mickey celebration will do little to get people and DLP has a poor track record with follow shows after high quality ones.

Also I think DLP is going to suffer from the UK market this year. Currently a coke is $7 and a counter service meal is about $18 each. That is hitting people hard and they are now offering an unprecedented 50% for AP holders for hotels in Jan and MArch.

I suspect that between the ho hum plans for 2009 and the economy, Disney is not going to be having a record year, but will do ok.

I'm confused. I thought they were making a third "Toy Story" movie. Is it just the first movie redone in 3D? Or are "Toy Story 3" and "Toy Story 3D" different things? In that case, they've got a serious marketing problem.

Please knock off the "yearly" campaigns that go on for years. They take away from real celebrations that should *at most* last a year. Focus on "New at WDW parade, come see the debut" or save campaigns for special events (A Quarter century of Epcot). Disney should sell on Disney. When people buy a Toyota do they "Jump" for it in the past or whatever there current marketing shtick is. Nope they just get it cuz it's a Yota (or a Corvette or a Dell or). The brand sells it. Just do it k?

--American Idol Experience (DHS) - Awesome for those in the demographic who are not AP holders, a wash for others. Should be fairly popular.

    --Celebrate a Street Party (DL)
I'm a broken record, Uh please a parade or a real show?

    -- Monsters, Inc. Ride & Go Seek!(TDL)
Should do well, even though Monsters is kind of getting Long in the tooth (anyone care about Borat or Nerds anymore?)
-- Kim Possible World Showcase Adventure (Epcot)
I like old Epcot, but should be ok with the kiddieized amongst us.

--it's a small world with new additions (DL) - Hey keep giving the classics attention WITHOUT being under new management. Will be off the radar for those that aren't ardent fans.

--Move It, Shake It, Celebrate It! Street Party (MK)
    I'll take a Scrooge "Bah-humbug" on this

    Theatrical Releases

    --Jonas Brothers 3D Experience
    - Could do good, not personally interested.

    --Race to Witch Mountain
Won't do as well, but I *love* classic campy Disney movies as long as they don't change it *too* much

    --Disneynature's Earth
    Should be average

    --Disney-Pixar's Up
    Will do well

    --Hannah Montana the Movie
    Will do well, but shouldn`t

    --GForce
    No opnion on this

    --Disney's Princess and the Frog
    Will do well, but shouldn`t

    --Toy Story 3D
Won`t do as well as the first 2, but should do ok (should have been done earlier)

    --A Christmas Carol
    -Again?
