I know we dould probably have to say thatwe were a family of 5, but maybe not. Any info you have is helpful!

Six in a DLH room is kind of like 5 in an All Star. Sure, you could probably do it. But why on earth would you want to?

There was a night stand between the beds and the other bed had room on the other side of it for our extra suitcases. The closet was tiny, but there were four pull out drawers under the tv and fridge. We had a round table in the corner with two chairs. I don't know, with little kids you really don't need all that much room. I guess it depends on if you will survive sharing a bed with your youngest. Good luck.
Originally Posted By RoadTrip << Our room had two queen beds and a twin size sofa bed (great for one person).>> That would probably work. The two times we've stayed at the DLH we've had a room with one king bed and a room with two queen beds. We've never had a sofa bed in addition. Make sure they know you need that sofa bed and you may be assigned a room that has one. Our rooms were never very large, but I've head from many sources that DLH room sizes are all over the place... there is no 'standard size'. Our rooms were perhaps smaller than some since our group size was 2 the first time and 3 the second. Good luck.

Marriott has a Starbucks downstairs and Embassy has full cooked breakfast.. And both offer free parking and access to ART.

We stayed there over Christmas and were very pleased.

I don't really think the Disneyland hotel is keeping an eye on every guest making sure they aren't trying to fit 6 in a room that only holds 5. I don't know that we would be in that much danger of being "caught". But maybe you guys know different.

We have never experienced any of the resort hotels (too expensive) and we probably never will if we have to get a suite or 2 seperate rooms in order to do it. We thought we would go out of our way and spend the extra money to bless our kids with a DLH experience this time, but we can't do it if we need more than one room. We can barely afford one room. Your thoughts?

If budget is an issue, I personally would prefer to take my family where they fit that is cheaper (but still nice) and spend the savings on either an extra day, a special meal, maybe souvenirs if you are not a frequent visitor. If it were I, I would not risk it personally.

I can't really see how we would get "caught". My parents did this kind of thing all the time back in the day when I was kid at the motel 6. They only allowed 4 people to a room back then and we had 5. One of us kids would "duck down" in the car as we pulled into the parking lot. Ah...the good ol' days. Anyway, we are just a rather low income family who has a pretty once in a lifetime opportunity to have a "full on" Disney experience like we've always dreamed about, but have never had the money for. We could pull it off with one room, and we know from seeing our friend's room there on our last trip that our family would very easily fit. Just thought we'd throw this idea out there to see if any of you had done this kind of thing before. I guess it really didn't seem too far fetched to us, but I guess it isn't practiced as often as maybe I thought it would have been. Interesting.

That being said- most posters have now told you the rule and why and yet you still want someone to give you their blessing. Not me.
